I’ve noticed things can hold stories

nail-biting stories, bingers, all-nighter, flashlight under bedsheet stories

committing till an…. exhaling

resolution

things are left with the touch of the ones before

they can break, fix and break again the objects that attract their fatal attention

the inevitable decay of existences extends beyond the living

a porcelain dove that when held connect father and daughter 10,000 miles apart

reminding them that they are not alone but harshly lonely

the inanimate bare the lives of the hands that held it

like a melody or a song, their stories are dueling two worlds the facticity of there creation and the transcendency of time

with these things come a beginning middle and unforeseen endings

that have lived and been left to share their lessons

we can deduce and ponder and if your lucky maybe solve the enigma

 that these things leave behind
