About

The lost and found blog is a collection of Portia’s tiny and big adventures, as she is learning, failing and succeeding through her early 20’s. She hails from the suburb of Southeast Michigan, spending the majority of her childhood there until the age of fourteen; flying to San Francisco for ballet school and a chance at individuality.  Accepting a three year scholarship at San Francisco Ballet School and attending The Independence High School for three years, graduating with an academic "Presidential Honor Award".  Flapping her wings one more time to Amsterdam, to graduate at The Dutch National Ballet School. Off to start her professional career accepting a job in Switzerland with The Bejart Ballet Lausanne. Spending two formative years there she was offered a position with Les Ballet de Monte Carlo for the 2018/2019 Season. Where she currently resides.

The lost and found blog is a metaphor for the explorer. Embarking on self and cultural discovery, hungry to learn and discover new and exciting things about the different corners of the world. Seeking to create community, conversation, and connection with others. Learning and growing from each other to brighten our awareness in the world. A safe place to respectfully and compassionately share opinions. To be lost is the beginning to a journey of being found.
